Q: Why should you update your software?
Software updates bring new features, bug fixes and improve security of your projector. It is recommended to always update your projector to the latest available version to get the best features.
Q: How can I do it?
To update the latest Screeneo S6 software version, you can either do it through Internet or USB.
Through Internet:
- Make sure your projector is connected to Internet. To check Internet connection, press Settings on your remote control and go to Wi-Fi or Ethernet Connection
- Press Settings options again and select Software Update - Software update - Online Upgrade
- If an upgrade is available, you are prompted to start or cancel the update
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update
Through USB:
You need a USB stick and a computer to download the update file. Please make sure your USB stick has at least 256Mb free space, and is formatted as FAT32.
- Check the latest software version available on www.philips.com/support. Find your product by writing the model number "SCN650", then select Software and drivers
- Download the software into your USB stick and rename the file name as “update_screeneo.zip”. Save the file in the root directory of your USB stick, and do not unzip the file
- Connect your USB stick to the USB 2.0 port (not the USB 3.0 port) on the back of your projector
- Turn on your projector with external power by pressing Power on the top of your projector or on your remote control. Use the Navigation buttons on your remote control to select Settings options and then Software Update - Software update - Local Upgrade
