Q: Why should you update your software?
Software updates bring new features, bug fixes and improve security of your projector. It is recommended to always update your projector to the latest available version to get the best features.
Q: How can I do it?
To update the latest PicoPix Micro software version, you can either do it through Internet or USB/SD card.
Through Internet:
- Connect the projector to the Internet (read article this article)
- Press Settings on your remote control and then use the Navigation buttons on your projector or your remote control, to navigate and select Firmware Upgrade - Online
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update
Through USB or SD card:
You need a USB stick and a computer, or a SD card to download the update file. Please make sure your USB stick has at least 256Mb free space, and is formatted as FAT32.
- Check the latest software version available on www.philips.com/support. Find your product by writing the model number "PPX320", then select Software and drivers
- Download the software into your USB stick or your SD card. Unzip the downloaded file and save it in the root directory of your USB stick or your SD card.
- Connect the USB storage device to the USB port of the supplied USB cable. Then connect the supplied USB cable to the USB port on your projector and to the wall outlet (or to a computer/power bank). Or connect the SD card to the SD port on your projector
- We recommend you to use an external power when connecting a USB device
- Turn on your projector with external power by pressing Power on the back of your projector or on your remote control. Then, press Settings on your remote control and use the Navigation buttons on the back of your projector or on your remote control to navigate and select Firmware Upgrade - via USB or SD card
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update
Remember: do not power off your projector or remove your USB stick during update.
