If you face issues related to the sound of your Screeneo S4, please read the instructions below:
No sound from the external connected device:
- Check if your projector or your external device is not set to "MUTE"
- Check if the speaker is activated
- If you're screen mirroring, ensure the volume of the source is at its highest
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to the external device. Check the cable with another device
- Turn off both your projector and external device, and then turn them on again
- Ensure the cable header is not bent or broken
- Check your external device to make sure the audio output is set for the correct source
- If using Bluetooth:
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth device
- The effective operation range between your projector and your Bluetooth device should approximately be 10 meters (30 feet)
- Ensure there is no obstacle causing music streaming interruption between your Bluetooth device and your projector
- If you are using a computer, the volume of the computer may be set to the minimum while your projector's volume is set to maximum, so the noise may be mixed. Turn up the computer's volume and decrease your projector's volume
- If you are using a device connected through HDMI, set the audio setting to Multichannel (Raw data) & Stereo (PCM)
- While playing a music file from the multimedia player, ensure to use one of the following file formats: MPEGAudio, FLAC, AAC, AC-3, MPEG-1, AMR, COOKER, MONKEY’S Audio, PCM (Microsoft), WMA, ogg Vorbis
The sound is distorted or not synchronized to the picture
- The available Wi-Fi bandwidth is insufficient for sending the video flawlessly from your smartphone to your projector. This can happen if one or more Wi-Fi networks operate in the same frequency range nearby. Certain IoT devices (e.g. ZigBee enabled devices) also operate in this frequency range
- Your smartphone is not fast enough to compress the screen data and send it simultaneously over Wi-Fi
- Your smartphone may maintain parallel connections to your home network and your projector. This will reduce the available bandwidth. Disabling temporarily the connection to your home network may help
If the problem persists follow these steps:
- Turn your projector off by pressing Power on the top of your projector or remote control
- Wait at least 10 seconds
- Turn your projector on by pressing Power once on the top of your projector or remote control
